The group is made up of daffodil enthusiasts (amateur and professional) from all over the world and promotes the breeding of daffodils both for garden display and showing. The group is heavily involved in the Belfast Spring Show and provides judges and advice for local shows.

During the winter months meetings are held in Balance House near Glenavy. Members can learn of the newest varieties, methods of cultivation, pest and disease control. The annual bulb sale and auction provides a chance to pick up some choice varieties.

During the summer a garden outing provides a diversion.

A Newsletter is published twice annually for all members to keep abreast of the news and the latest developments in daffodil culture and hybridisation.
